An overview of Asia

Asia is the largest continent when measured by landmass and human population. Following is an summary of Asia.

Asia is considered one of the seven continents. This continental definition, however, is far broader than many population think. Under the seven continent methodology, Asia stretches from Japan in the East through Russia in the West. It encompasses Saudi Arabia and all things above Asia. While it doesn't all the time make practical sense, there is no denying this definition of Asia makes it the home of over 60 percent [4 billion] of all humans. China and India, of course, are the locations of a vast majority of these people.

Kazakhstan

In contemporary times, geographers recognize there nothing else but is no dividing line between Asia to the west and Europe to the East. This has resulted in the entire area being called Eurasia, but thousands of years of terminology aren't about to pass into antiquity. Today, most population refer to Europe as a continent so far as it extends to the Ural Mountains in Russia. all things to the east of that mountain range is considered Asia. For instance, Israel is considered a country in Western Asia!

Russia has even picked up on this theme with the two heads on the national flag. The west facing head refers to the European part of Russia while the East facing head refers to the Asian part of the country. Within Russia, it is roughly as if there are two countries with Moscow and St. Petersburg having heavy European influences. Cities in the Far East, such as Vladivostok, are much more oriented to China and such.

To decree the boundary issue, the powers that be have started defining Asia subcontinents. The areas are:

Central Asia - Kazakhstan Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

1. East Asia - China, Japan, Mongolia, Taiwan, North and South Korea.

2. North Asia - Russia.

3. India Subcontinent - India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.

4. Southeast Asia - Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

5. Southwest Asia - The Middle East along with Turkey, Iran, Cyprus, Israel, Lebanon and sometimes Egypt.

Given the problems defining the boundaries of Asia, you can fantasize it is also difficult to define sure characteristics regarding the continent. After all, life in Turkey is much dissimilar than in China. Conversely, customs in India are wholly dissimilar than those in China. In fact, most population living in Asia take offence when someone uses the word "Asians" to refer to them. The word implies a similarity among all population in Asia, which simply isn't true.

Economically, things are a bit easier to categorize. The largest economy in Asia is China as a quantum of gross domestic product. Officially known as the People's Republic of China, this country remains communist in name only when it comes to economic issues. With heavy economic growth over the last 10 years, China is the second largest economy in the world after the United States. an additional one heavily populated area, India, is now the fourth biggest economy in the world, while relatively small Japan is the third. Put in practical terms, Asia is home to three of the four biggest economies on Earth. The three dominant financial centers are Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore.

With so many countries, it is hardly surprising to find a wide collection of religious practices in Asia. There are a wide collection of reliance systems, but Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam have the largest amount of adherents.

Figuring out exactly what constitutes Asia is largely a matter of opinion. Among many assertions about Asia, the undisputable one is it is the home to the largest percentage of humans on the planet.

Where Do Rankings Come From?

The most favorite and widely used rankings for undergraduate programs is undoubtedly, the Us News and World report rankings. Normally when someone gives an extensive ranking to a school in the Us, this is the estimate they are referring to. These rankings do not in fact portion the university as a whole; they portion primarily indicators linked to undergraduate education. So that estimate isn't as meaningful as you might think it is. In any case, either you decide that the rankings are a perfectly literal, and useful tool for selecting a university, or not, you should know what the estimate means. Let's look at the methodology of the Us News and World report rankings, and some critiques of it.

The Methodology and Critiques

Kazakhstan

First, the rankings give the highest weight to peer assessment. This information is collected by asking university administrators--presidents, provosts and admissions deans--to rank universities. Prestige of a university can be foremost and it is very hard to quantify; peer appraisal is not a bad idea. Any way one critique of this formula is that presidents and deans of admissions are not necessarily in the best position to have detailed and up-to-date information. For one thing, they tend to be very busy running their own university. For another, no one consults professors, who tend to know their colleagues at other universities well and who heavily affect the quality of a university education. Nor are students, who may have inside information not available to the public, surveyed. It should also be noted that every year, the estimate of university administrators who fill out the peer appraisal forms goes down!

The rankings also give high priority to keeping rates-the estimate of undergrad students who return to a university after their first year--and the estimate of undergrad students who graduate in six years (4 years being the norm). However, critics of the rankings note that some of this has to do with the student, not the university. For example, a first-year may not return for a second year because he needs to help his family. Or because he doesn't like the food. In some cases, the trainee may have a extremely definite need that is not met by the university--such as an exquisite music recording studio, or a professor who specializes in Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Faculty resources measured by student-faculty ratio, estimate of classes with under 20 students, estimate of classes with more than 50 students, mean faculty salary, ratio of full time faculty, and faculty with the highest degrees in their field. Again this applies to faculty teaching undergrad only. And again there are critics who point out that a lot of this has to do with how rich the university is. Harvard is a very wealthy university which can afford to pay its professors well and hire sufficient professors to have a good student-faculty ratio. Of course, it's a good sign that a university is spending its funds on professors and not, say, new fountains. But none of this tells us if the professors are teaching well or not. A very supreme professor may get an thinkable, salary given the Prestige or even the consulting enterprise he brings to the university, and never set foot in a classroom.

Notably, spending per trainee factors into rankings too without any portion of how exactly those funds are being used. Alumni giving factors in, in the law that graduates give to their university if they enjoyed the university. So universities who have a high ration of alumni donating money must give satisfaction. Not a bad law but it does mean that the financial resources of a university have a high extensive weight in the rankings, directly and indirectly. Also, some universities are more likely to furnish highly-paid alumni than others. And highly-paid alumni are more likely to donate, being in a position to do so. An exquisite arts school may not have wealthy alumni who can afford to donate in weighty proportions.

Student selectivity is the next factor we come to. 15% of a universities' ranking is based on the qualifications of enrolled first-year students and the proportion of acceptable students versus applications. This is probably the most heavily criticized element because the key question is not how smart the students are when they come in. It's how smart the students are when they leave! Does the university add value to its students or does it just accept smart students who learn nothing for four years. Many habitancy also note that some universities enhance their score in this area by naturally addition the estimate of applications they accept or rejecting more students. In fact, this may be creating a extremely negative trend in Us higher schooling where students with good but not exquisite qualifications will not be acceptable to top schools that are trying to boost their ratings.

Now graduation rate, a portion of what the trainee gets out of the university, is a factor in the rankings, only 5%. But this is measured by the incompatibility between the actual rate and the magazines prediction. Which is a somewhat subjective and indirect way to portion what students get out of a university.

The Washington Monthly has also published a report on the rankings commissioned by Us News and World report in 1997. Many of the critiques I make here are also noted there, along with recommendations for improvement.

Poor estimate 20

As you statistics majors may have noticed, it is possible for low-ranked universities to be equal to or even classic to higher ranked universities in inevitable aspects. For example, Princeton is ranked estimate one this year. Brown University--widely considered to be an exquisite school in the Us--is ranked 15th. Must be a much more inferior university, right?

You might be surprised to hear that Brown is 3rd in the country for graduation and keeping rank. Princeton is actually only 2nd, while Harvard (overall ranked estimate 2 this year) is 1st. In fact, 97% of all freshman return to Brown for a second year equal to Harvard's rate and only 1% lower than Princeton. Only 10% of classes at both Princeton and Brown are over 50 people, meaning Brown also provides a lot of smaller classes where kids don't get lost or remain unknown to professors. Brown has more full-time professors than either Princeton or Harvard (94% at Brown, 91% at Princeton and 92% at Harvard). Selectivity in term of Sat scores of acceptable students is virtually same at all three universities.

I could do the same pathology for any estimate of universities. Even Colorado State University, ranked 124th has more full-time faculty and fewer classes under 50 students than Princeton or Harvard and is as selective as the University of Iowa, ranked 64th. The point is the rankings are not a singular estimate handed down by God; it is a composite portion and as such the final result doesn't mean the university is classic in every way.

So now you know what the rankings measure. Note what they do not measure: quality of knowledge given, chances of students getting a good job after graduation, trainee satisfaction, academic rigor, usefulness of knowledge, and a bunch of things that might matter more to you than how many alumni donated to the school. Now, there are reasons why these things aren't measured, namely, it's actually hard to quantify trainee delight or quality of knowledge given. And Us News does its best to portion these things indirectly. The problem likely lies in the concept of rankings altogether rather than flaws in any one methodology. So don't think that minute estimate is objective Or as useful as it seems!

Will Cameco contribute the Uranium for the Proposed Enrichment factory in New Mexico

Guess what? Our recent investigation shows the uranium to be enriched in the Les/Urenco proposed enrichment premise in Lea County, New Mexico may come neither from uranium properties in New Mexico nor everywhere else in the United States. Just as New Mexico's nuclear/uranium mining renaissance was ready to get underway, a deal may have already been cut to enrich uranium mined in a foreign country. Louisiana power Services (Les), through the consortium's general partner Urenco Ltd., may have struck a deal with Canadian-based Cameco Corp. Will this uranium come from Canada or Kazakhstan?

According to New Mexico State Senator Carroll H. Leavell, the uranium ore to be enriched at the premise near Eunice, New Mexico premise would be arrival from exterior the United States. Senator Leavell told StockInterview, "The uranium ore will be arrival out of Saskatchewan." When we asked if the uranium to be enriched in New Mexico would come from the Athabasca Basin, an area hosting the world's richest grades of uranium and which is also placed in northern Saskatchewan, Senator Leavell claimed he wasn't sure where the Athabasca Basin was. But he told us that Urenco Ltd informed him the uranium was arrival from that western Canadian province.

Kazakhstan

We can only intuit the uranium producer might be Cameco Corp. On July 22, 2002, Cameco signed a Memorandum of bargain with Les, along with Urenco Ltd, Westinghouse electric Company, Fluor Daniel and the affiliates of U.S. Utilities: Exelon, Duke and Entergy. In an email response to our inquiry, earlier this week, Netherlands-based Urenco Ltd Communications Coordinator April Wildegose-Mistry informed us, "Cameco Corp was part of the former Les project. They pulled out around March 2003 as they needed to focus on other business issues."

We have also asked to interview Urenco's Ceo. Maybe he may elucidate this matter for us. One commerce insider told us Cameco stated its prolonged retain for the Les initiative after it withdrew as a partner. However, the recent joint venture company, Enrichment Technology Company, formed by Areva and Urenco may open the possibility the uranium could also come from Areva's uranium interests in Athabasca. Areva is a Paris-based business offering technological solutions for nuclear power generation, and electricity transmission and distribution.

This improvement could additional irritate at least one New Mexico legislator. State representative John A. Heaton from Carlsbad, New Mexico, and who also sits on New Mexico's power and Natural resource Committee, was adamant about U.S. Independence from foreign power sources. He told StockInterview, "We need to use the assets we have and not be dependent upon foreign countries. I worry a lot about the dependence we have on other countries."

In this instance, Heaton might be getting a double-whammy of foreign dependence. Not only is Urenco Ltd a foreign-owned and controlled business (a Dutch/ British/German consortium), but the uranium its New Mexico premise would be enriching could come from at least one foreign source, Canada. Because the uranium ore might be sourced from Cameco, yet an additional one country's uranium could be supplying the New Mexico enrichment facility: Kazakhstan.

Cameco plans to boost uranium mining in this old Soviet country to a level which might arrival its uranium yield in the Athabasca Basin. Kazakhstan recently joined the "Putin Alliance" of uranium-producing countries. On June 22nd, Kazakhstan signed a covenant worth billion to provide Russia's Tekhsnabexport to provide Russians with uranium through the year 2020. The Economist Magazine's Economic intelligence Unit recently issued a caution on this country.

We asked our uranium commerce analyst, David Miller, about this new twist in the Les/Urenco story. Miller is a third-term Wyoming legislator, who is an former member of the Wyoming power Commission and a past member of the National Council of State Legislator's (Ncsl) power Committee., now serving on a Ncsl-related committee. Miller is also president of Strathmore Minerals, a business which is now advancing its properties through the permitting process in New Mexico. Miller told us, "The State of New Mexico may miss out on the hundreds of millions of dollars of tax revenues from inherent severance, ad valorem, sales and other taxes the domestic commerce would pay the state to mine uranium in New Mexico. Instead, the foreign uranium pays zero taxes to enter the state for enrichment." In other words, Cameco or an additional one may be getting a free ride on taxes.

Ominously, Miller asks these questions, "The real quiz, for New Mexico is this: What happens to the part of the uranium that does not go onto the fabrication plant? Does it stay in New Mexico? Is it shipped back to Russia, Kazakhstan or Saskatchewan?" This gave us pause for thought. After it leaves New Mexico, how do we know it would be used for civilian power purposes? Could it be conveyable elsewhere and be more highly enriched? That's just speculation.

Miller recommended that New Mexico legislators quiz, the Les plant be fed uranium mined in New Mexico, not in Canada or Kazakhstan. "If this were to happen," Miller wrote in an email to us, "thousands of new mining jobs would be created in areas of New Mexico which need the most economic development." Once the world's important uranium producer, New Mexico's Grants Uranium Belt is again being explored by more than a dozen companies. Some hope to permit and control new uranium yield centers in New Mexico. We trust this newest wrinkle will awaken New Mexico's legislators and help them protect uranium mining developments in their states. Maybe their voters, who might be finding for higher paying jobs, would appreciate that.

Russians Expecting $100/Pound Uranium

In a speech at the 50th each year regular session of the International Atomic energy department (Iaea) normal argument in Vienna, Iaea chief Mohammed Elbaradei confirmed what many of us knew in praising China and Russia, which "currently have the most ambitious plans for short-term nuclear expansion." Nine months ago, he might not have made that statement.

Today, Russia has emerged as one of the more vocal proponents for, and aggressive strategists in, the full spectrum of the nuclear fuel cycle. From nuclear waste disposal to uranium mining and enrichment, and in entertaining transmit to produce nuclear reactors, Russia could maybe come to be an even more significant time to come player in the nuclear sector than China is envisioned. Russia's civilian nuclear chief Sergei Kiriyenko told Russian television earlier this week, "Russia believes 25 percent of the world's shop in nuclear fuel-cycle services, along with uranium enrichment, is an optimal share. Technically and technologically, we are well positioned for this."

Kazakhstan

And whoever operate this much shop share should help decree the price. "The Russian habitancy I've spoken with seem to think 0/pound is a given," Sprott Asset management shop Strategist Kevin Bambrough told us upon his return from the up-to-date World Nuclear relationship argument in London. "If anyone is in the know, or can affect shop psychology, it would be them."

Russia's Nuclear expand in 2006

Last week, Tenex's normal director Vladimir Smirnov announced the formation of a new national uranium exploration and mining company, provisionally named The Uranium Mining Company. He said it will be established by the end of this year, and hopes to boost output by tenfold over the next two years.

This week, Kiriyenko announced Russia's "international" center to enrich uranium should be built by the end of this year, and ready to start by early 2007. As announced earlier, the site will be in eastern Siberia at the Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Plant. The city is settled 3,000 miles east of Moscow. Russian President Putin suggested at the current Iaea argument that the international community set up enrichment centers under the management of the Iaea to forestall discrimination in access to nuclear energy. Putin's veiled remarks were likely aimed at encouraging Iran's civilian nuclear energy program, for which Russia is rebuilding the Bushehr nuclear power plant. Russia also proposes to joint venture an additional one uranium enrichment center in Kazakhstan with that country.

In early September, Sergei Obozov, head of Rosenergoatom, Russia's nuclear power monopoly, announced plans to start building nine nuclear reactors in 2007. But, it won't stop there. According to an evaluation calculated in September by the World Nuclear Association, Russia has 26 reactors proposed or planned by 2020. The country hopes to power 23 percent of its electricity with nuclear energy. This would give Russia nearly 60 reactors, almost as many as France and Japan presently have operational.

Russia is also revamping its nuclear industry, consolidating its civilian nuclear clubs into one state-run company. It will be called Atomprom, and the country hopes to compete with other industry giants, such as Areva, normal galvanic and Toshiba to build reactors.

This is where the firm might get even more interesting. "Pairing of new reactors with uranium contracts could be huge," Bambrough explained. "Companies wanting to build reactors are going colse to the world, wanting to joint ventures with mining clubs to growth uranium provide for themselves. The speculate they want to do that is to offer a full suite of services. They know they can not sell a reactor without supply." Based upon how Russia's nuclear ambitions are unfolding, this is their likely procedure of action. Areva, which sells reactors, has mining operations in Canada, Africa and elsewhere.

Major Flaw in Uranium Requirement Calculations

In his investigate Bambrough observed a significant flaw in uranium price modeling. "No one is modeling for 'new reactors' inventory," he pointed out to us. According to the World Nuclear Association's (Wna) most up-to-date report, an additional one 222 nuclear reactors are planned or proposed by more than 20 countries worldwide. And each month those estimates grow larger. At the time of the Wna report, the United States was marked for 23 proposed/planned. This week, that estimate grew to 30. To remain conservative, we agreed to use a base frame of 160 new reactors before 2020.

"When you start looking at the demand that comes from these new reactors, from what is called the 'initial core,' the numbers some habitancy are using is anywhere in the middle of 1.5 to 1.8 million pounds," Bambrough explained. "That is how much is required on the day you commission it. It's economical to buy that uranium about four years prior to commissioning your reactor." economical nuclear plant operators would prefer to have three to five years of uranium catalogue in advance. "That's two million pounds per reactor," Bambrough calculated.
"Spread that estimate out over a decade, and that means 32 million pounds per year," he said. "If you can imagine, even just one million pounds per all of the 600 (total) reactors, it could be potential there may be 600 million pounds just for inventories in the middle of now and 2020."

What will that do to the spot uranium price? "I am hearing about deals being done in the s," Bambrough announced. "I still think we are going to challenge the inflation-adjusted highs (for spot uranium), somewhere in the middle of 0 to 0/pound, and I think it's going to test that looking out a combine of years." Because of the how the energy shop has been changing, Bambrough added, "The fundamentals are going to be more compelling than in the 1970s."

And it is a compelling time for analysts who have been re-thinking their pricing of yellowcake. In early September Ubs raised its estimates on spot uranium to /pound. Many industry insiders told us uranium would not eclipse /pound this year. TradeTech's Gene Clark forecast /pound earlier this year; Ux Consulting's Jeff Combs notion it might go higher before year end. "There's more and more talk that and /pound are in the offing shortly," Bambrough told us.

The mixture of "new reactor build" and the pairing of uranium contracts with new reactor sales is not a new one. This helped cause the uranium price rise in the 1970s in the United States. Westinghouse, the world's important reactor manufacturer, got into the uranium mining firm in the 1970s through a consortium called Wyoming Minerals and began producing uranium through the in situ saving (Isr) method. Previously, an additional one reactor manufacturer, normal Electric, had merged with Utah International to spin off Pathfinder Minerals. Its uranium mining subsidiary filled its requirements.

By dangling uranium contracts as an incentive to buy a reactor, a reactor manufacturer might overlook existing utilities in need of uranium. "It would be foolish for them to go existing utilities and say, 'we'd like to sell you four million pounds of uranium and give you a long-term contract,'" said Bambrough. "Why would they want to make just a combine hundreds of millions of dollars, when they can sell the same uranium for the same price to someone, who wants to build a new reactor, and then pack an additional one two billion dollars on the order? That puts the existing U.S. Utilities behind the eight-ball, those who aren't stepping up and buying orders."

Tough Times Ahead for Uranium-Seeking U.S. Utilities

Yesterday, David Christian, Dominion Resources's chief nuclear officer, held a media tour to a site in Louisa County (Virginia) where the firm hopes to build a third nuclear reactor at the North Anna power station. He explained to the media that in the middle of now and 2025, U.S. energy consumption will growth by about one-third. an additional one 50,000 megawatts of new nuclear power generation will be needed by 2020 just to enunciate the existing energy provide diversity.

The push for new reactors has begun with thirty new nuclear reactors being planned or proposed, According to up-to-date statement made by the Nuclear energy Institute. That's about the same estimate Russian is proposing. China is planning or proposing twice as many. "It is going to be extremely difficult for existing utilities to ageement and build up time to come provide in an environment where there is an explosion in growth of new reactor demand," Bambrough warned.

Until now, U.S. Utilities have nearly all the time called the shots in uranium pricing. Stiff competition from China, Japan and now Russia has changed the pricing climate as evidenced by the nearly 800-percent price rise in spot uranium over the past six years. "It's tough to compete out there," Bambrough explained. "I think the existing utilities are painted into a tighter box than they realize. They have got to get behind funding exploration and development of uranium for themselves. The problem is the U.S. Utilities may not want to sign those contracts, but are competing against nations. Countries, like China and Russia, can go in and sign big deals."

Bambrough brought up Russia again, "They've put out notes of late saying they want to spend in mining, where it would be profitable, anywhere in the world. They've said they want to seek out junior miners anywhere in the world." On September 12th, China's state-owned Sinosteel bought into Australian junior miner PepinNini to produce uranium deposits in northeastern Australia.

This past summer, Russia's state-owned RosAtom struck a deal with Kazakhstan for comprehensive uranium mining and supplementary exploration in that country. "When Russia says we're going to fund uranium development, they're not thinking about funding uranium exploration and development for the Western World," Bambrough pointed out. "They want it for their own domestic needs. They want to build and sell power plants. And they've got to get supply." According to the Natural Resources Ministry, if Russia does not act to expand it uranium production, the country's stockpiles could dry up within a decade.

What guidance does Bambrough have for U.S. Utilities? "They have to start getting their own supply," he told us. "They need to have domestic production, and can't just rely on dwindling down inventories."

He urged utilities to strike joint ventures with U.S. Uranium developers before others do. Bambrough pointed to the up-to-date joint venture negotiations in expand in the middle of Uranium Resources (Otc Bb: Urre) and Japanese mega-conglomerate Itochu corporation. But what about rumors we've heard from uranium developments clubs who have been quietly talking with U.S. Utilities? "Uranium developers don't need to sell it," he advised. "They're not permitted yet. What's the point of selling it now, they're only going to be penalized for it. There may be some clubs willing to do a small token deal, as a small ration of time to come production, just to show they have a contract."

And which uranium developers now score high on the Sprott Asset management shop Strategist's list? "Right now, Strathmore Minerals (Tsx: Stm, Other Otc: Sthjf) has got to be one of my top stock ideas," Bambrough said. "I think it's one of the stocks that should be development new highs. I haven't been more safe bet on Strathmore since the first day when we started buying it in our funds. I think it's time for its next leg up."

The Itochu joint venture with Uranium Resources is the speculate behind Bambrough's bullishness on Strathmore. "They've taken the definite steps to permit some of the best properties - with good grades and some sizeable deposits - and bring up solid reserved supply numbers," he explained. But the catalyst is the quiet expand now taking place in New Mexico. "The region needs a mill," Bambrough pointed out. "In the region is energy Metals (Tsx: Emc), and Laramide (Tsx: Lam) has some good property," he added. "The lowest line is Itochu is partnered with Uranium Resources, the asset is right next door to Strathmore Minerals, and Itochu knows they need to build a mill. And they want to have output by 2009. In a combine of months, that's only two years away."

And by then, will we be wondering how much beyond 0/pound spot uranium will run?

Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Reserves

The Caspian Sea is the largest inland body of water in the entire world. It provides gorgeous views to the countries that border it, and an important port for trade in the middle of these countries. A large whole of the world's caviar is harvested from the large sturgeon population that thrives in its murky depths. The largest imagine for dissention and political dispute in the middle of the neighboring nations of the Caspian is its sizable inherent for some of the largest natural resource yields in the entire world.

The Caspian Sea is bordered by five nations. Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Turkmenistan, all have interest in the improvement of this huge body of water. The three northern countries, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan, signed a 2003 business agreement dividing the northern 64% of the sea among themselves. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have steadily increased their oil exploration in the region since the 1990s and have been rewarded with a 70% increase in oil production.

Kazakhstan

The Caspian, in terms of oil output, is believed to hold up to 200 billion barrels of oil. This whole would be as much as a quarter of the entire Earth's reserves and would be worth upwards of 10 trillion dollars in today's market. Controversy erupted with the dissolution of the Soviet Union; many of the newly independent states did not identify the ancient treaty signed by Russia and Persia that divided the lake in the middle. initial solutions have been reached in the interim, dividing the region among the five nations, but of course, not every nation feels the new terms of department are satisfactory.

Conflicts are sure to arise in the middle of all five nations in the time to come because of the current situation. Currently, several oil fields are in dispute because they are shared in the middle of two or three of the countries. Iran and Azerbaijan both claim exploratory possession to the same fields; Iran has even opened fire on Azerbaijani ships venturing into this disputed area. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are grappling over a shared field because one country feels the other is pumping much more than its fair share of oil.

The natural gas deposits in this area can also be seen as over 25% of the entire Earth's proven supplies. The profit from the discharge of natural gas is a point of contention in the middle of these countries as well. The United States and other countries that import resources from the region are watching intimately as these discussions take place, because the outcome weighs heavily upon the time to come vigor supplies of the world.

Types of Hamsters

There are 5 types of hamsters. These are the Syrian hamster, Dwarf Campbell Russian Hamster, Dwarf Winter White Russian Hamster, Chinese Hamster and Roborovski Hamster.

Syrian Type

Kazakhstan

The Chinese Hamster has dark ears, lightly edged. The male has a strikingly large scrotum.

Roborovski

The Roborovski Hamster is also a short-tailed dwarf hamster, but its yellow-brown colouring and striking whiskers lend it a totally separate appearance to the other two short-tailed species of dwarf hamsters. Roborovski Hamsters are much less well knows and they breed very few young. The Roborovski Hamster. Is the smallest dwarf hamster. Its body measures only seven to nine centimeters in distance and its tail is barely visible. Its back is a brownish-yellow with grey under colouring. Sometimes the yellow on its back appears somewhat rusty in colour. Roborovski Hamsters don't have dorsal stripes. Roborovski Hamsters can live in groups of the same gender.

Long Way Round, Long Way Down - What's Next For Intrepid Actors?

Successful Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor and his best friend and fellow actor Charley Boorman plainly love having adventures on their motorbikes. However, it's just not a case of travelling a few slow miles on Sundays; these boys are serious, long distance bikers. On their last two trips the intrepid pair, plus their cameraman Claudio Von Planta - along to description their travels for documentary broadcast - have managed to clock up a thinkable, 34,000 miles on their odometers.

In 2004, the pair decided to take a trip in the middle of London and New York. But, rather than take the easy option of flying or cruising the Atlantic, they decided to ride their motorbikes the opposite way nearby the globe; taking 'The Long Way Round'. Their 19,000 mile circuitous route complex travelling over Europe and Asia, before crossing the Bering Strait by air, then back on the road to travel the final leg from Alaska to New York. With the exception of their flight, a 600 mile train journey through Siberia, and an impassable short section of their trip through Russia, the whole route was completed on two wheels and took three and a half months.

Kazakhstan

Although the pair were accompanied only by cameraman Von Planta on bikes, they did have a maintain and safety team following behind in two off-road vehicles, otherwise they would have been unable to unblemished their laberious trip. But, the whole expedition wasn't just a jolly for the two thespians, it was undertaken to help highlight the work done by Unicef, and while their journey McGregor and Boorman saw some of the projects done by the international relief department at first-hand in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

Three years later the pair decided to dust off their bike leathers, and this time travel the 'Long Way Down' from John O'Groats in Scotland to Cape Town in South Africa, another gruelling 15,000 miles. The journey took just under three months to complete. Starting out on May 12th they reached Cape Town on 4th August 2007, the whole ride and their sometimes hairy adventures again all captured on film by Von Planta. Again, the trip was used to highlight Unicef's relief efforts and the two actively encouraged viewers of their documentary broadcast to conduce to the charitable effort.

Although both trips were breathtaking successful, there were some serious incidents, and the farranging damage done to the bikes on their travels made it clear to see why they were unable to get motorcycle insurance, and why their life guarnatee premiums were approximately prohibitive. They were held up at gunpoint, suffered horrendous swelling following insect bites, were victims of theft and endured numerous mechanical failures, along with water in the engines; truly not adventures for the faint-hearted, and also why both trips made such compelling Tv.

Despite their joint announcement that they won't reconsider doing it again in the near future, keep your eyes peeled for the pair's next two-wheeled adventure, as they are sure to get the bug again soon.

Avian Flu Is A inherent Pandemic

Will the avian flu cause a disaster similar to the Spanish flu of 1918 that killed more than fifty million people in the world?

Avian flu or avian influenza is spreading at an alarming rate and it is believed that if it continues its flight, it has the possible to cause other major pandemic colse to the world. This time, it is estimated that up to one hundred and fifty million people may die.

Kazakhstan

Avian flu is a disease caused by a definite type of avian or bird influenza virus. Scientists have discovered that there are fifteen types of avian flu viruses that affect the bird populace. The current outbreak of avian flu is caused by the H5N1 virus.

Although the avian flu virus is supposed to be typically affecting the birds, the nature of this flu virus is that it can mutate and replacement from one species to another. The avian flu virus that has been killing birds previously is now affecting human beings too. Those people who have been affected contacted the disease because they were unhygienic in handling infected poultry.

The H5N1 virus has been found to be highly contagious and it can be transmitted to human beings through the perceive of excretal or nasal secretions from infected birds. In addition, if the avian flu mutates and joins with a human flu virus, it will be transmitted unmistakably from one someone to another. If not detected and treated early, it can come to be fatal. The deadly avian flu virus is highly infectious and if it spreads rapidly, it will cause rapid fatalities to the human species.

This virus was first discovered in Hong Kong in 1997. It was spread by infected migratory birds such as wild ducks, swallows and wild geese to domesticated fowls like chicken, ducks, geese, turkeys and eventually affecting human beings too. A estimate of countries have confirmed human deaths due to avian flu and the figures have been constantly on the rise. Apparently, the avian flu virus has infected some hundred people and killing at least one hundred and fifty of them. It has also spread to a estimate of other countries such as Cambodia, mainland China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The lethal H5N1 virus has caused the death or culling of an estimated two hundred million birds over a widespread of countries such as Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong), Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.

When infected with the pathogenic H5N1 virus, the birds may invent severe sicknesses such as respiratory diseases and they commonly die within the same day. Other telltale symptoms are loss of appetite, diarrhea, nervousness and depression as well as a allowance in egg yield and ruffled feathers.

As arresting is the best cure, the precautionary measures initiated by the assorted affected countries helps in curbing aggravation.

At poultry farms, once a bird is infected, it must be culled immediately and the others properly vaccinated. While the owners are to routinely send randomly excellent birds to the nearest avian lab for standard check-ups, all of their workers must be properly covered when handling the fowls so as to avoid any direct contacts with infected birds.

It is believed that the avian flu virus cannot survive in temperatures above 100C. As such, all poultry products must be cooked completely and properly. In addition, it is prominent to wash one's hands with soap and hot water before food preparation and meals or after arrival in perceive with raw poultry products.

Although two drugs, Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir) are found to be productive against the deadly avian flu virus if taken within forty-eight of occurrence of first symptoms, no preventive drugs has yet been discovered against the H5N1 virus.

Avian flu infection in human beings portrays common flu symptoms such as cough, fever, headache, sore throat and muscle aches or pains. These may then develop to life threatening complications such as severe chest pains, breathing difficulties, respiratory failure and viral pneumonia. However, at times, the only symptom that an affected someone has is an eye infection such as conjunctivitis, which can be mistaken to be lowly sore eyes. As such, there may be misconceptions on whether the someone has lowly flu or the life-threatening avian flu.

The avian flu is unmistakably a possible pandemic threat to humanity and has to be addressed globally. As arresting has all the time been the best cure, the temporary solution is to pronounce a wholesome and sanitary lifestyle all the time.

Top 3 Adventure tour Trips For Your pail List

Let's face it. The typical vacations in the tropics, in a ski lodge and in a cruise ship can seem boring after one too many trips to these places. You will want something unique, something adventurous and something more memorable simply because life is too short to be spending vacations in boring places.

Well, if that's your desire, you should ask a trip agent about the possibilities for an adventure trip trip to exotic places doing things that you would never have view to do on your vacation. No, we are not talking about illegal and illicit activities here - just vacations that will pump adrenaline into your principles and still keep you alive to tell the spirited tale. Here then are our top three picks for an adventure vacation.

Kazakhstan

Visit the Stans

If you are spirited about what happened to the Central Asian countries once under the Soviet Union, then it is time to plan your trip to the five stans. Yes, you read that right - the five stans, namely, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The best time to visits is whether on the month of May or September when the climate is usually at its best.

You can pretend to be a modern-day Marco Polo authentically because few Westerners have seen the wonders of these independent countries since the days of, well, Marco Polo. Your mind will wonder at the Saka petrolglyps, the Zenkov Cathedral and the Bibi Khanym mosque while you arms will be full from the equally wondrous woven carpets and other souvenirs. Did we mention that these countries have majestic vistas as well?

Trek in Mongolia

Ever since Genghis Khan captured our imaginations, we have always wanted to visit Mongolia, mingle with its citizen and Ant. Eject its culture. Since the country is as safe as ever, it is time to fulfill our dreams to meet the descendants of the great founder of the Mongol Empire.

We expect to sleep in a ger, the Mongolian family's primary yurt-like home, which will surely be an contact unto itself. We will look forward to drinking the preponderant stamp of Mongolian life in the steppes, the airaq or fermented mare's milks. Most of all, we are anticipating the horse rides through the great steppes, the treks to the forests of the Altai-Sayan Montane and the sightings of unique wildlife like the snow leopard and the lynx. Whoever said that a tropical vacation is the best there is has yet to see the wonders of Mongolia!

Ski in the Andes

Tahoe, Whistler and Aspen can be boring to the most jaded skier. And so, off to the Andes Mountains we must go. We suggest going in October when the spring weather brings with it clear skies, corn snow and snowcapped summits, all of which are excellent for skiing downhill and then hiking back uphill. Or maybe with a horse.

We must caution that this trip is not for the faint of heart or the weak of legs. At heights of 1,400 meters above sea level, vertigo is the last of your worries. Then again, why worry when you can ski down the slope, enjoy mom Nature as you swoop by and just feel good to be alive?

Life is too short for boring vacations. Go out there and have the adventure of a lifetime.

All-Star Gifts With the X Factor

First appearing on British television screens in December 2004, the X Factor is now a worldwide phenomenon, broadcast in a whole host of dissimilar countries including Australia, Colombia, Czech Republic, India and even Kazakhstan. Winners of the show receive recording contracts, in expanding to comprehensive publicity, but that win is very much dependent upon their potential to demonstrate that they have that indefinable something known as the X Factor.

Amidst all of the rivalry and the contests in the middle of the show's participants, the programme has generated a number of controversies that have been played out in the Uk's media and this year is no exception. Indeed, in the Uk there are currently a number of allegations and stories splashed over the tabloid press, including the advice that Louis Walsh considers co-judge Dannii Minogue to be "cold and harsh"; all in relation to Dannii's vetoing of a song apparently! And there are even details about the split in the middle of Simon Cowell and his previous partner Terri Seymour; apparently he was dumped via text message. And although it has also been alleged that Simon Cowell made a £5 million cost to his previous partner, this has been denied. Shocking stuff!

Kazakhstan

And it has even been reported that the forthcoming execution by legendary pop group Take That, on an episode of the X Factor, will not admittedly be sung live. Although there had been plans to pass off the execution as a live one, this has now been rethought because of a desire to avoid a fake-television scandal. And in related news, it has been announced that Take That have plans to tour over the procedure of June and July next year, which is arguably one of the greatest Christmas Gifts potential for the band's many fans.

As if all this controversy was not enough, there are also allegations that singer Charlotte Church has hit out against Girls Aloud singer and Judge Cheryl Cole; apparently Charlotte Church doesn't think she can sing - (Sounds like she might benefit from a taster at a recording studio, especially as the gift event requires no pre-existing qualifications or experience.)

But when it comes to Christmas Gifts, are there any out there that have the valuable X Factor? If there were an X Factor dedicated to high potential and ordinarily spectacular Christmas Gifts, what would win? Arguably, the final shortlist would have to contain whatever that is personalised. But, although Personalised Calendars, Personalised Diaries, and Personalised Champagne gifts all have the valuable star potential, when it comes to choosing one out of these three astounding Christmas Gifts as the winner, it could take a panel of three master judges to make a final decision.

However, Personalised Diaries clearly have star potential. Created as A5-sized stunners, and featuring a new image every month that can be personalised with any potential name, Personalised Diaries can also be set to start on any month of the year; development them appropriate as far more than just Christmas Gifts.

Equally innovative, Personalised Calendars also have that all-important X Factor star quality. Much like their counterparts in the diary world, Personalised Calendars can be designed to begin on any month of the year, and each and every photo is personalised to highlight the name of an individual's choice. And, as they also can be designed agreeing to a whole host of dissimilar themes, they don't just make astounding Christmas Gifts; romance-themed calendars can make great Valentine's Day gifts, and Personalised Calendars with a baby theme make great gift ideas at any time of the year.

However, of all of the Christmas Gifts with the potential X Factor star quality, the clear winner has to be Personalised Champagne. Great for so many dissimilar occasions, not just as Christmas Gifts, Personalised Champagne combines beautiful presentation - after all, each and every bottle label is personalised in a fully unique way - with top-quality champagne. After all, given that each and every bottle is created from a blend of Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, how could whatever resist?

Bhs Job Vacancies

The very first Bhs opened in Brixton in 1928 more or less as a carbon copy of the (then) successful Woolworth's model, with a maximum price of 1 shilling (5 pence) for all its goods. One year later, in 1929, this ceiling price was raised to 1 Crown (25 pence) which boosted the range of products that Bhs could retail. Since those early days, the clothing and homeware chain has gone on to now have a workforce of about 14,000 people worldwide.

But modern times are not easy for retailers. In 2009, the company's accounts showed an actual loss of £56m on a gross turnover of £1,100m which amounted to about 5%. This contrasted with 2008's small behalf of £15m.

Kazakhstan

Following the drawing back of the Iron Curtain, in 1995 Bhs acquired the dissimilarity of being the first retail store to open a subject in Moscow. Since then it has opened more market in St Petersburg and Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, although its main overseas interest is the lucrative Middle East market.

Bhs has been a franchise for just over 15 years and there are now market nearby the world which control in Bhs' name and sell its products. There are also separate 'Tammy' and 'Bhs Kids' franchises, the latter carrying Bhs' most beloved children's lines.

The head office of Bhs is located at Marylebone in London and its distribution centre is at Atherstone in Warwickshire - a assistance run by an organisation called Spectrum which is part of the Arcadia Group of companies. Despite its growth, British Home market remains a privately-owned company.

Bhs (Uk) is divided into 9 geographical regions with each being headed by a Regional Manager. All market consist of Store Managers, commercial Managers, Operational Managers, Lead company and Sales Associates. The most successful market also have a general Manager.

Employees seeing to work for Bhs can expect the following bonuses and benefits:-

Financial - There is an personel yearly discretionary bonus based upon the outcome of a operation retell - something which also dictates the worker's level of pay for the forthcoming year.

Health - incommunicable health insurance, optical and dental assurance packages are provided to managers.

Investment - A thorough stakeholder pension operates for all employees.

Holidays - Amounts vary according to position and seniority however non-management jobs attract 22 days+ and managerial jobs, 25+.

Perks - A business car and additional holiday may also be offered to managers. All staff may fetch discounts in-store and also at selected hotels etc.

Something unusual about Bhs in comparison to other retail market is that it expects individuals to negotiate and by comparison their own wage package. Accordingly, since time to come benefits are generally calculated as an growth on the employee's 'current' benefits, it is frugal (for more reasons than one) to negotiate the best deal inherent at the time of recruitment.

What Was Your Scariest trip Experience?

I was reading something somewhere on the Internet about scary travel experiences. It's interesting because I have been to every continent except Antarctica, and my scariest travel occasion was as I was flying into Moscow in February of 2000.

My sister and her husband had adopted a baby from Kazakhstan. She had to spend a few days in Moscow to get approvals from the Canadian Consulate for my niece to be admitted into Canada. My parents and I were in Europe on enterprise (back when I worked for the house business) so we decided to detour to Moscow to spend it with them and to meet the new member of our family.

Kazakhstan

I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Even though I grew up in Canada we were still "concerned" about the Ussr. We had heard stories about how people were treated and how they would have to line up for hours to get bread and food. And of course the "nuclear" threat.

The flight from London to Moscow was on Ba. They showed a movie called "East/West". It was nominated for an Academy Award for best Foreign Film, and it was a unmistakably well made movie. It told a story that should be told, just not a great idea to show it while flying into Moscow.

The movie was about a Russian Expat doctor who was asked to come back to Russia to live and practice. Stalin asked many soviets that left the Ussr after Wwi to return and help to "rebuild" the Ussr with no repercussions for fleeing in the first place. Well of course Stalin lied and killed some as soon as they arrived, or in the case of this house took the French wife's passport as soon as they arrived and then pretty much treated them like prisoners.

As we landed my heart started racing, I was shaking and my face was flushed. My dad unmistakably asked if I was Ok.... He didn't watch the movie - he was safe!

My logical mind said - don't be silly...this doesn't happen anymore - it's the year 2000 - the new millennium - the wall fell ages ago...People visit here safely all the time...my my emotions said - "What are you Crazy????"

I was so flustered I left my laptop On The Plane!. I rushed back to get it and 2 very stern protection personnel (with guns I might add) told me in Russian (at least I think this is what they meant) - that I had to turn around and go back - I couldn't go back onto the plane! I knew it - this was a plot to steal my stuff like they did in that movie. Well Ok I am exaggerating a bit!

I stood in the very long immigration line up...with my papers in hand...still fearful....who knows what might happen once we get past that line.

We then got to the baggage claim and low and notice a flight attendant had taken my bag off for me. Whew!

We went straight through customs and found a taxi...The rest of the trip was Awesome and we got to meet my beautiful niece for the first time later that night.

In my 4 days and touring around in the cold. They only time I got "hassled" by the authorities was when I was in a taxi going back to the airport - they wanted to see my papers - I happily obliged.

So it was just my mind that made it all up! I guess that is the power of the mind.

The lesson I learned - Don't make up what isn't there .. Stay present while traveling. Assess what is unmistakably going on..Not what you think might happen!.

Do you have a scary travel experience to share? Share it here http://our-blog.excellent-vacation-ideas.com/2009/03/what-is-your-scariest-travel-experience_23.html

Siberian Dwarf Hamster Facts and Care

What image comes to your mind when you hear the word 'Siberian'? To me, it brings up the stereotypical image of icy and desolate mountains covered in snow. The kind of place Russian athletes go to toughen up in the icy snow and high altitude. While this may be the stereotypical image of Siberia, the image of a Siberian dwarf hamster is the opposite. Despite his Siberian roots, this guy is a small, cute, and furry beast that is friendly and sociable as well.

Originally from the grasslands of Kazakhstan and Siberia, the Siberian dwarf hamster has many unique traits that were advanced in the wild. The most enchanting of these traits is the quality to turn color. Their coats are regularly a dark grey color but in the winter, they grow into white coats. This is a trait that was advanced in the wild to blend in with the snow to avoid predators. Because if this unique ability, these hamsters are also known as Winter Whites.

Kazakhstan

So if you have one of these guys as pets, will his coat turn color? There have been cases where owners have experienced their Siberians changing color but don't get your hopes up. The Siberian dwarf hamster changes color by sensing the light from the sun. When the sun is out less in the winter, their body senses this and in turn begins to turn its coat white. It is difficult to reproduce this follow with a hamster in captivity but there are cases where hamster owners have noticed changes in their Siberian hamster's coat.

When caring for Siberian dwarf hamsters, follow the same guidelines as for dwarf hamsters in general. You need to get a spacious cage, though one that they can not escape from. Don't use pine as a substrate as some hamsters have negative reactions to pine. Also, the substrate should be replaced weekly. A hamster wheel is a must and chew toys are also significant for keeping his teeth in shape. These are just a few of the basics.

Microsoft Dynamics Nav/Ax Implementation - Russian Erp store

In this small report we will be giving you highlights on Microsoft Navision and Axapta implementation, customization, tuning and reporting in Moscow and on Russian Erp/Mrp market in general. We advise this information to It directors of multinational corporations with relationship to Russia, Kazakhstan, Central Asia. Recently - in September 05 Microsoft enterprise Solutions renamed Microsoft Great Plains, Navision and Axapta into Microsoft Dynamics Gp, Microsoft Dynamics Nav, Microsoft Dynamics Ax, following the directions of scheme Green. We will be discussing localization, government reporting, language translation.

o Localization. Microsoft has two Erp products for Russia and Cis - Microsoft Dynamics Nav - Navision and Microsoft Dynamics Ax - Axapta. Microsoft Dynamics Gp is not localized and is not ready in Russia from Microsoft enterprise Solutions Moscow. You can buy the license from Mbs Partner in Us and implement Microsoft Great Plains in Russia, but you will face government reporting issues

Kazakhstan

o Language. Both - Microsoft Navision and Microsoft Axapta have interfaces translated into Russian and to some extent you can have multilanguage version, the suspect we are rising multilanguage issues - in order to operate your subsidiary in Russia you should have at least English interface and reporting.

o Government Reporting. Russian tax reporting is somewhat relatively conservative and the regulation here is rather strict. Also, tax inspectors assume that you use acceptable chart of inventory and do transactions on the general Ledger level, following accounting transactions prescribed rules.

o Chart of Accounts & Transactions. acceptable chart of accounts has enumerated codes for accounts and geared toward manufacturing accounting. Again - accounting code prescribes you do transactions in general Ledger. The regulation would be not an impediment, if you are manufacturing enterprise and tune your manufacturing Erp / Mrp module to use codified and state-approved accounts/transactions. any way if you are service business, especially high-tech oriented - the code is a pain for you, because Sales Order Processing or service modules are typically designed under the assumption of accrued accounting, without posting your profit and expenses straight through "goods in production" type of accounts.

o Cash Based Accounting. Technically you can use whether one: cash based or accrued methods. However, the accounting code was designed with the idea of the cash method.

o Implementation Partner. For the company, having headquarters in the Us/Europe, consulting enterprise choice is prominent question. Technically implementation should be done in Moscow, but the implemented Erp should be "consolidated" into Corporate Erp, an so - the communication in the middle of consulting enterprise and your headquarters based It and Finance department should be very efficient.

We encourage you to analyze your alternatives. You can all the time request for retrial to our help, give us a call: Russia: (095) 918 3314, Germany: (0177) 8349 806, Usa 1-866-528-0577 or 1-630-961-5918, help@albaspectrum.com

Will Pakistan and China Build a Rail Or Pipeline Along the Karakoram Highway Passage?

Imagine a rail line, and/or pipeline going all the way from Pakistan's Arabian Sea coast into the mountain passes between China and Pakistan? What for, well for a back-door to China of course, and better entrance to Middle Eastern Oil. For years many have speculated a pipeline through Afghanistan, and today there is a pipeline task semi-completed through three countries above Afghanistan to China's border.

China needs resources and they will get them anyway they know how. A Chinese Oil business may make a deal with Pakistan to build a rail line from the Port Gwadar in Pakistan all the way to the Xinjiang Province in China? Is it inherent to build something along that passage, which could take oil all the way from the Port of Gwadar, the Southwestern Coast of Pakistan on the Arabian Sea?

Kazakhstan

After all, this port was built with Chinese Assistance, and it is also militarily guarded due to a pact between China and Pakistan. It's strategically leading well to China, Pakistan, and Middle Eastern Oil Supply, and this means the Us may be challenged to get the oil it needs. So, the plan is to take the pipeline and ambitious rail way law along the path of the KaraKoram Highway Passage, which is the modern equivalent of the old "Silk Roads" and the same trade route through the mountains.

If China is challenged by Naval Blockades, devastating typhoons in its port cities, or conflicts while a "Hong Kong-China Reunification" conflict, China would still be able to get the resources it needs to get into the country, without being worried. Of course, along such a narrow passage there are fullness of choke points for terrorist disruptions too. But, personally, I find the project; ambitious, worthy, strategic, and wise on their part. So, maybe you might make a note of all this.

All About Beluga Caviar From the Caspian Sea

The Beluga (huso huso) is the largest of all sturgeons (up to 6 meters/20 feet in length) and is the only carnivore. The Beluga has been known to weigh 600 kg (1,323 lb) or more, but unfortunately, because of aggressive modern fishing methods such a size seems extremely unlikely these days. At the beginning of the twentieth century the Beluga caviar accounted for 40 per cent of the sturgeon catch - in 2005, it was barely one per cent.

Beluga is silvery-grey in color and differs from other sturgeon in that it loses the bony scales along its length after it is a few months old. It has a large, contract head with a pointed snout and a large mouth, which in a full-grown adult is up to 25 cm (10 in) wide. Two sets of barbels (rather like whiskers), which all sturgeon use to search their food, are situated under its mouth. Up to 25 per cent of the Beluga's body weight may consist of eggs, although private fish have been recorded carrying up to 50 per cent. The female does not mature until about 25 years of age and may not spawn every year. Like all sturgeon, Beluga can keep their eggs inside them for more than one season, if the conditions and climatic characteristic are not suitable for spawning.

Kazakhstan

Because of its weighty size, the Beluga caviar has the biggest eggs, which are the most extremely prized for their large grain and fine skin. The egg color varies from light grey to nearly black. The lightest grey is the most extremely appreciated, although the taste, described by experts as "a faint flavour of the sea", should not be affected by the egg color.

Beluga caviar is protected as a threatened species under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. This law ordinarily prohibits the import/export and interstate sale of listed species and products made from them. The United States banned the importation of beluga caviar from the Caspian Sea basin as of September 30, 2005, and from the Black Sea basin as of October 28, 2005. No beluga caviar from any country in these basins could be legally imported after these dates. The affected countries consist of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.

However, retailers who still have beluga caviar that was legally imported before the U.S. Bans went into supervene in the fall of 2005 may continue to sell that product indefinitely within the State where they are located. Beluga Caviar can be purchased online in California straight through our Caviar Express webstore.

China, captivating 45% Of World's Natural Resources

China, A 'Black Hole' Sucking in the World's Natural Resources

While the Usa has obsessed with the "Floating Yuan vs a Dollar pegged Yuan", China's course has been to use a much broader strategy. China is buying the world's resources and has become a virtual "black hole", sucking in coal, oil, timber, steal, copper, minerals of all kinds, from throughout the globe.

Kazakhstan

Think of it, after nearly 10 years of pressure on China to let the Yuan growth in value, instead of letting it fall with the dollar, China finally let it appreciate.5 percent, development the total growth to 1 % since last June. The United States has followed a decade long course of allowing its currency to drop in value, hoping that would fuel economic growth. But China is following a more noteworthy concept. Invest, buy, or control the "hard" resources of the world, and finesse the Usa on "currency issues."

We, as a nation, are ignoring Chinese raw commodity import policies. I have witnessed the extent of the Chinese course first hand in Nepal, Cambodia, Mongolia, Ecuador, and even in the "Autonomous Regions" of China, such as Tibet.

China is buying resources all over the world and as we reported 18 months ago, has become a reserved supply hog, that in some ways distorts markets, and encourages corruption.

A few examples:

In Cambodia it is against the law to "log" the old hard wood forests, but if you are on the back roads near Sean Reap, after dark traffic fills up with "illegal" logging trucks delivering ill gotten wood to Phnom Penh, on the way to China.

In Mongolia, China has long made a concerted effort to gain control of Mongolian oil, copper, and coal resources. Much of Mongolia's coal is the high-quality "coking" collection vital to steel output which can be produced cheaply, for as miniature as per ton. China is the world's largest user of environmentally unfriendly "dirty" coal. But the nation is growing so rapidly, it now produces over half of the steel in the world, so it will continue to be the world's largest polluter. This is made worse because three quarters of China's electricity is powered by coal fired stations.

In Kazakhstan, China is a major owner of oil fields.

In Kyrgyzstan, China continues to show interest in natural resources and officials are truly bribed or "influenced".

Both China and Russian jealously lust for the oil, wood, coal and other resources of Central Asia.

In Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, China has, with cooperation with Russia, financed new pipelines along a normal route similar to the old Silk Road.

Russia, is now a major source of oil for China, with the two nations jointly developing a new pipeline from Siberia to the Pacific by way of China, of course. Chinese oil imports will hit 12.5m barrels per day by 2020, up from 4m last year. Russia, is drifting away from Western oil and gas markets, at the consternation of Western Europe.

China's reach includes Latin America, and nations such as Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Mexico, Peru and Columbia find themselves "invaded" and courted by Chinese visitors, businesses, and buyers of natural resources. In some cases China is development financing and grants ready for economic improvement in trade for passage to natural resources of these nations.

But even with currency trading, China is out maneuvering the Usa. China has just signed a deal with Russia to do whole trading in Rubles and Yuan's in their trading, and ignoring the once all noteworthy dollar. It is interesting, the Islamic nations have worked to "eliminate use of the dollar", nations such as Venezuela, Korea, Iran have tried the same tactic, and now China and Russia are in the game.

As we have reported in Global Perspectives ( http://www.bootheglobalperspectives.com ) many times over the past 10 years, China has emerged as a world power, that will convert the way we all live. Vips and leaders will be well advised to monitor these trends. passage and control of natural resources continue to have global implications, and history shows, wars, and economic control.

How to Find the Best and Cost-Effective Kazakh Translator

Are you looking for a good and not very high-priced Kazakh translator? This narrative deals with the basic techniques how to find high-qualified and cost effective translation services into Kazakh.

The issue how to find a professional and cost-effective Kazakh translator is widely discussed today. Of course, all of us are looking for translation services of high capability and money-saving. We need to translate dissimilar types of documents within a company, manuals, books etc into Kazakh.

Kazakhstan

There are any techniques to do that. What you need is to open Google and start searching entering dissimilar keywords:

1. Crusade for directories. The most preeminent ones are Proz and Aquarius. If you go to those directories, you can act in two dissimilar ways to reach your aim. Firstly you can post a job proclamation stating that you are looking for a translator of the specified language. Secondly you can browse personal pages registered within the directory. But please, bear in mind that most of the translators from Cis countries registered there cooperate with companies from Europe and the Usa, and in most cases their rates meet the approved rates in those countries.

2. Crusade for agencies and companies. Of course, Google will give you millions of results. Kazakh translation companies will be placed in dissimilar parts of the world. You can narrow your Crusade agreeing to dissimilar criteria. We would strongly recommend you that you should narrow the Crusade by the region, indicating Kazakhstan. In this way you'll be able to find cost-effective clarification in comparison with the first technique. It's a familiar fact that Kazakhstan is placed in an area where earnings level per capita is much lower than in Europe, the Usa and other developed countries. That's why the rates for the services are not very high. But the query of capability remains open as there is nobody who can certify you that you will get professional services and you have to risk.

3. Crusade for a translator. Again, you will get the results from dissimilar parts of the world. The best way is to narrow down the Crusade by the region criteria. If you do so, you will be able to find the end-providers of the Kazakh translation services, without intermediaries. But you will run into pros and cons as well. Surely, a translator as an end-provider of the services is money-saving. But another side of that Crusade is the quality. If a translation company from Cis might be worried about its reputation in the Internet as its company involves dissimilar kinds of activities and takes responsibilities for its activities, then a translator acts independently and doesn't carry out any obligations. The professionals can be different. Some of them claim to be translators but they don't have any linguistic education.

4. So what to do? How to find the best and money-saving Kazakh translator in this vibrant world? There is a way out! Recently there has established new bodies of translation services - team of freelance translators or freelance translation studio. They offer competitive prices because their freelance translators live in Kazakhstan and at the same time they certify high capability as the translators of the teams pass extra capability control and offer after-sale retain service.

Skoda Auto: The Story of the Ugly Duckling

It is no underground that the Czech Republic's biggest car maker Skoda Auto has been in the past - a laughing stock in the automotive world. But things are finally turning colse to for the automaker and right now it has become a profit producing force for its owner Volkswagen.

The Czech Republic's biggest car maker is also planning to open up new markets in China, India, and Russia. Skoda Auto was bought by Volkswagen in the year 1991 and become one of the troops behind the latter's global force. And as part of Europe's largest automaker, Skoda Auto makes use of potential Volkswagen auto parts for its yield like the favorite Volkswagen spark plug wires.

Kazakhstan

Skoda Auto was able to narrative net profits for the last week of 2006 totaling to 11.06 billion koruna or 392 million euros (515 million dollars). It obtained a 40% increase as compared to its wage in the former year.

Skoda Auto's yield also increased by 12.6 percent or 556,347 units with successful deliveries of up 11.7 percent resulting to an extensive sales increase of 8.7 percent to 203.7 billion koruna. For this year, Europe's largest automaker Volkswagen owner of Skoda is expecting for it to yield more than 600,000 cars.

According to Marc-Rene Tonn an investigator from German bank Mm Warburg and Co., "Skoda is an highly profitable part of the Volkswagen Group." He also stressed that about one in every 10 Volkswagen Group cars are produced in the Czech Republic especially those sold in the year 2005. This was seconded by Stephen Pope, a London-based investigator with financial services group Cantor Fitzgerald Europe, "Volkswagen will rely heavily on Audi and Skoda during this current period." Since he said that the Europe's largest automaker is currently struggling with an ageing range of models and it needs new launches to revive it. "The whole new image of Skoda has changed. It is no longer taken as a joke and is now seen as a pure derivative of Volkswagen, but much more reasonably priced."

Pope also added that this naturally shows the great development that Skoda Auto has achieved under the management of Volkswagen for the past 15 years as part of the Vw Group. Praises also to Volkswagen for being steadfast in its decision not to scrap the Skoda brand in spite of the not so good image that the brand has in Western Europe (DaimlerChrysler could used some advice from Volkswagen).

The turning of the Skoda into one of Volkswagen's flagship producer of reasonably priced trustworthy cars just goes to show the productive management style that Europe's largest automaker have. And today, Volkswagen is foremost Skoda to become its low-cost spearhead into the booming economies of China, India, and Russia without damaging along the way it attempts to target a more reputation market.

Pope also said that "Skoda will be designated as the entry level car with the superior part of the store left for Volkswagen."

The boss of Skoda Detlef Wittig has announced last week the company's goal of producing low-cost car for the Asian market, mentioning also that the enterprise plans of opportunity up markets in India, Russia, and China. The low-cost Fabia and the top-of-the-range Superb are scheduled to be produced for China in partnership with Shanghai Volkswagen. Likewise, launches yield of the mid-range Octavia model are set for China this year.

The Czech automaker has already car assembly and yield projects in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Bosnia, and India. Beluga Caviar

Caviar was once a food reserved only for kings, czars and princes of Persia. But now, most regular population and commoners like you and me can afford to eat caviar. Some of the best caviars in the world come from the beluga sturgeon which resides in the Caspian Sea as well as the Black and Adriatic Seas. The belugas are caught and fisherman are able to take over two thousand pounds of caviar at a time. Despite this, beluga caviar remains the most costly caviar in the world and one of the most cherished in the world.

Before beluga caviar, gold caviar was thought about the greatest in the world. It still exists today but is so close to the brink of extinction that they are no longer fished for. Beluga sturgeon became the next best option and within a few years, fishermen have already driven these to the brink of extinction, but not yet to the extent that happened to the gold. Because of the lowered population, there have been restrictions located onto the capture and sale of beluga caviar. You might expect to pay about 00 in the United States for beluga caviar. The calculate being for this is because this kind of caviar has been put on restriction by the United States government from the Caspian and Black Seas.

Kazakhstan

The least costly place to get beluga caviar is one of the places that are harvested in, Kazakhstan. Beluga can be bought there for about 0 with the same quality and quantity as in the United States. This type of caviar typically can be bought by foreigners visiting the country and bringing tins home, but it is much more difficult to buy Kazakhstani beluga caviar online for that price. They know what the rest of the world is willing to pay and if you wont even come to their country to buy it in person, they'll make you pay. Can you no ifs ands or buts blame them?

As you can see, it may be difficult to get your hands on some fresh beluga caviar, but it is not impossible. If the price seems to be too high for you, remember that you get what you pay for and you will get something considerable on your taste buds that you will not soon forget. One final piece of advice for whatever who buys any type of caviar: the best utensils to cope caviar should be made of mum of pearl, because metal utensils will alter the taste. As silly as it may sound, you can also use a plastic spoon if you don't have any mum of pearl utensils. Yes, you just paid five grand for beluga caviar and you eat it off a plastic spoon that is sold in packs of one hundred for .99!

Those Practical, Round Tents Are Called Yurts

You may have seen a yurt and not known what the circular tent was called. Originally the dwellings for nomad herders in Central Asia, they are now popping up in back yards and campgrounds over North America.

Also known as a ger, the yurt is a practical form of housing used in Mongolia, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan for hundreds of years by nomadic people. They require grazing land for their sheep, so they must uproot their homes and move to greener pastures whenever the grasses in one area have been cropped to the ground. The yurt can be disassembled, loaded onto a horse, camel or yak, conveyable to fresh grazing land, and set up again in a timely manner.

Kazakhstan

Constructed of felted wool on a wooden lattice frame, the yurt's roof is supported by poles. Some of these round shaped tents may also have walls that are covered with canvas, which helps protect against foul weather. The compose is easy to insulate to keep out the winter cold and on hot summer days the wall coverings may be rolled up to allow a cooling zephyr to blow through.

Partly because of the above practical reasons, and partly because of their engaging shape, yurts have recently become beloved in Europe, the Usa and Canada. One may often find them being used as spaces for yoga exercising, meditation, as art studios, bodywork and aromatherapy rooms, and other purposes of a New Age or spiritual nature. Citizen who promote yurts say they are not only thrifty and environmentally responsible to build, but they also have an intangible aura that makes them feel like special places. It has even been recommend that their absence of corners and sharp angles makes it impossible for evil spirits or negative power to hide inside.

First adopted in the Pacific Northwest areas of Washington, Oregon and Northern California, yurts as unique accommodations have moved east through the mountain and plains states to the Atlantic coast. Many state campgrounds now offer yurts for rent to campers on vacation. While some of them are no-frills tents without any amenities, others come stocked like round hotel rooms with hot and cold running water, electricity, and even wireless internet connectivity.

The popularity of yurts in the western world has even spread back to their area of origin. Now there are some adventure tourism operators in Mongolia who offer fully equipped yurts as housing for travelers from around the world who want to caress the customary dwellings as they learn about local culture.
